“I am a post-modern abstract painter that distills the phenomena of life into a single-dimension of space and time, so I may explode them as real world artifacts on canvas. I differentiate my process by creating my own tools, and through my unique ability to think about time differently, an ability enabled by a rare memory condition called Hyperthymesia. Each piece involves months of painstaking assembly over dozens of paint layers, that are a comment on the intangible complexity of everyday life, and the beauty of seeing moments, peoples and subjects as greater than the sum of their parts. I can bring back any series of memories and distill them as references in each layer of paint; for each layer, is a uniquely decomposed memory, until finally I create one holistic memory the way the observer sees it.”
